I have recently entered English language tutoring to help others learn beginning to advanced English skills. My college degree is in electrical engineering, and over the past 25 years I have worked for Fortune 500 companies in engineering, marketing and business development. My side interests are music – performing and playing vintage electric guitars through old tube amps – as well as restoring cars (BMWs and Porsches), film, travel, cartography, architecture and history.
Me as a Teacher
My teaching experience includes some corporate training as well as teaching Tae Kwon Do in a group setting to young and old students. I am fairly new at teaching English as a second language, so we will be learning together! I am very patient and my main goal is that you make progress and have fun along the way!
My Lessons & Teaching Style
I offer a relaxed and flexible learning environment, without a lot of pressure. You set the agenda for what you want to learn, and we will focus on those areas. This is probably the quickest path to improvement other than immersing yourself in English. This will provide an efficient way to improve versus a one-size-fits all structured course. The first sessions will expose areas that need focus, and together we will develop a plan for improvement as we get to know strengths and weaknesses. I am also open to those who just want to practice their conversational skills. You can tailor your time as you see appropriate. My priority is to help you achieve your goals whatever they may be.
